Since 1896

The same family, the same house

Five generations have stood behind this counter. The house has changed; the lake and the village have not.

The Restaurant du Jura has stood since 1896 in the middle of Chevroux, a lakeside village in the Broye. It was a village inn; it became a table.

Olivier Marmier is at the stove, Annick greets the guests. The cooking is done here, from the first stock to the last dessert — which is what the Label Fait Maison certifies.

Lake Neuchâtel is a few minutes’ walk away, and behind it the Grande Cariçaie, the largest lakeside nature reserve in Switzerland. The harbour, the woods and the beaches are the same distance again.
